harleypig.com email

Your other Google stuff ▶️

YouTube, Photos, Play, and signing in to other sites with Google.

Short version: most of it keeps working. Friday's switch moves your email to a new home. A few Google apps that came bundled with the old paid email do switch off for your @harleypig.com address — Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Meet (video calls), and Google Chat (messaging) — but the big personal ones like YouTube, Google Photos, and Google Drive stay put. Here's the whole picture so nobody's surprised.

Why they're separate

Your @harleypig.com address is really two things bundled together: an email inbox, and a Google account (the login behind YouTube, Photos, Google Play, and so on). Friday's switch only moves the email part to its new home. The Google account stays put — I'm keeping it alive on Google's free plan, so all your logins keep working just like today.

Not sure this even applies to you? Open YouTube and tap your profile picture (top-right). If the email it shows ends in @gmail.com, you're already on your own personal account and none of this affects you. If it ends in @harleypig.com, this page is for you.

What keeps working ✅

Nothing to do here — these all stay signed in on your @harleypig.com Google account:

YouTubeYour history, subscriptions, playlists, and any channel — all still there.
Google PhotosYour photos and albums stay right where they are.
Google PlayApps, games, movies and books you've bought stay tied to this account.
Google Drive & DocsYour files and documents are still there.
"Sign in with Google"Any website or app where you log in with your Google account keeps working.

What's changing 📮

The email moves, and the handful of Google apps that came bundled with the old paid email switch off:

Your email moves to a new homeNew harleypig.com email now arrives at the new service — read it in a mail app or at webmail.harleypig.com, not in Gmail anymore.
The old Gmail inbox stops getting new mailThat's the whole point of the switch. Want to keep old messages that are already in there? Save them before Friday — they can't be pulled back afterward.
Calendar, Meet & Chat switch offGoogle Calendar, Google Meet (video calls), and Google Chat (messaging) came with the old paid email, so they turn off for your @harleypig.com address. Your YouTube, Photos, Drive, and Docs are not affected — those stay.

Thinking ahead — no rush 🕊️

Here's a gentle suggestion for down the road: consider making your own free personal Gmail account (a regular @gmail.com) and, whenever you get around to it, moving your YouTube, Photos, and other Google logins over to it.

There's genuinely no rush. As long as keeping your @harleypig.com Google account going doesn't cost me anything, it'll keep working just like today — you don't have to lift a finger.

The one honest catch: I'm on a fixed income now. If Google ever starts charging me to keep these accounts alive, I won't be able to keep it going. If that day ever comes, I'll give you plenty of notice so you'll have time to move your things over. Starting your own account now just means you'll never be caught off guard.
