harleypig.com email

Let's get your email
on your phone πŸ“±

Phone, tablet, or computer β€” these steps work on any device with an email app.

It takes about two minutes. You don't need to know anything techy β€” just follow along and copy the bits in the boxes.

Before you start, just have your password handy. Your email address stays the same β€” the one ending in @harleypig.com that you already know. Don't have your password? Just ask me.

The settings

Your phone will ask you for these. Tap any box to copy it, then paste it in. They're the same for everyone β€” only your email and password are yours.

If your app won't accept port 465, use 587 with β€œSTARTTLS” instead β€” either works.

IMAP or POP3?

Some apps ask you to pick one. Here's the short version β€” when in doubt, pick IMAP.

πŸ“₯ IMAP Pick this

Your mail lives on the server, so it looks the same on every device β€” your phone, a tablet, a laptop. Read it in one place, it's read everywhere. This is what you want.

πŸ“¦ POP3

Only use this if your app doesn't offer IMAP. POP3 downloads mail onto one device and usually removes it from the server β€” so it won't show up anywhere else. Same server, but use port 995.

Step by step in the Gmail app

The Gmail app comes on most Android phones and can hold your harleypig.com email too. Here's the whole thing:

  1. Open the Gmail app. Tap your profile picture in the top-right corner.
  2. Tap Add another account.
  3. Choose Other β€” not Google.
  4. Type your full email address (you@harleypig.com) and tap Next.
  5. Choose Personal (IMAP), then Next.
  6. Type your password and tap Next.
  7. If it asks for an incoming or outgoing server, put in mail.harleypig.com (copy it from the boxes above) and tap Next.
  8. That's it β€” you're done! πŸŽ‰ Give it a minute and your mail will show up.

Don't want to set up an app?

You can always just read your mail in a web browser β€” nothing to install, nothing to type in. Log in with your email and password.
